Sticking to your goals while traveling is one of the biggest challenges as our lives become increasingly more busy. Thankfully, I tracked down some of my go-to’s (and some things I can’t wait to try) and compiled them for you here, with tips on how and where to implement them! These five super cute on the go fitness accessories are exactly what you need to stay organized and thriving, no matter what or where you schedule looks like.
Be sure to also save these five HIIT workouts that require zero equipment– do them anywhere!
Stay Hydrated!
If nothing else, stay hydrated- this is one of the biggest mistakes I see happening with travel, hydration goes out the window. Maybe it’s because no one wants to have to pee on the go, or you’re not as active so you don’t think about it, but water is a fat FLUSHER. When you’re dehydrated you slow down your metabolism, not to mention do a number on your skin, hair and nails.
I love the idea of this water bottle- it’s bright and flashy so you remember to drink AND don’t forget it in the airport. A little humor never hurt anyone either. A must have on the go fitness tool.
Don’t Ditch Your Meal Prep!
Seriously, this might be the HOTTEST meal transport system I’ve ever seen in my life. I would carry this bag around without any food in it.
Yeah lets get real- I never don’t have food.
But, seriously. LOOK at it!
Don’t Lose Your Booty!
Just because you’re not near a hip thrust machine, does not mean that you get to skip leg day! (Okay you know I really mean glutes & hamstrings day.) These bands are great for on the go fitness because they’re a little bit wider and have a cloth exterior. This means that they won’t snap you as you’re trying to get into them, and won’t roll down your legs as you’re using them.
Yeah. I hate that too. They’re also super easy to clean and come in a variety of colors and resistances. There are other popular booty band brands (wow, say that a few times fast), such as from Booty Queen Apparel or Buff Bunny (if they’re not sold out), but for the price I’d rather go with these. Why risk losing them while traveling or having someone else walk off with them while you’re at the water fountain?
Don’t Get Rug Burn!
Hotel room workouts can be brutal if you’re doing them on the rug. Especially if you’re not wearing tights, they totally mess up your knees. If you are wearing tights, they scuff those too, and good tights aren’t cheap! (If you’re like me and have to take the extra step of getting every darn thing hemmed after you buy them too- you try to preserve their life as long as possible.)
A yoga mat is something I can’t live with at home either. If I can’t make it to the gym I can easily take 20 minutes and rack out some burpees, push-ups or v-sits. It’s one of the easiest things to take along on a trip to make sure you create space in your day to stick with your goals.
This one just happened to be super cute- so here it is.
Don’t Skip Cardio!
Don’t think you’re doomed to a crappy hotel elliptical or only outside walks either. A jump-rope is one of the most effective and efficient ways to torch calories fast, and you can do it almost anywhere. Except in an elevator, don’t do that.
Aaaaaaand, of course, I tracked down a super cute and super affordable option because why not? On the important bit though, it’s weighted, so you’re less likely to trip or smack yourself (unless you’re me), and the padded handles will keep you from getting callouses or blisters.

There You Have It!
Every reason to stay fit and chic on the go. If you check out any one of these links you’ll be able to see an abundance of colors and options, as I’m sure we don’t all have the same taste- but the point is that functionality doesn’t have to be frumpy.
